Power Automate in office work

About course
Training as part of the series: Group work tools in office applications.
The training introduces the basics of group work using the Power Automate platform. Participants will learn how to automate everyday office processes and how to build workflows that improve team collaboration, save time, and reduce errors. It is designed for those who want to improve operational activities without the need for programming. The course offers a practical approach, clear examples, and starter guidelines.
Learning outcomes
- Social/organizational competencesThe participant plans and communicates automations with the team, assessing their impact on processes and security. They document flows (purpose, data sources, owners, contact) and propose further development or refactoring.
- Ability to initiate flow and create projectsThe participant can run a workflow from a template (Forms → SharePoint/Teams/Outlook), configure parameters, and perform end-to-end testing. The participant can design a simple "office" process from scratch (data sources, conditions, branches, loops), using Copilot or other AI to generate steps/expressions. The participant can apply basic data operations.
- Ability to apply basic data operationsThe participant is able to apply basic data operations (e.g. date formatting, converting content from the M365 application to HTML, combining content, extracting fields from responses).
- Power Automate Knowledge in the M365 EcosystemThe participant understands the place of Power Automate (PA) in the M365 ecosystem and Copilot's role in flow design (flow types, triggers, actions, connectors). The participant understands the basics of application and service integration (Forms, SharePoint, Teams, Outlook) and the permissions/security model (connections, owners, sharing).
- Knowledge of good practices in PAPermissions/security (connections, owners, sharing). The participant can characterize the workflow lifecycle: creation → testing → publishing → monitoring → modifications → export/import/backup. The participant can identify best practices: versioning, error handling, content ergonomics (HTML in emails), compliance, and risk mitigation.
Who is it for?
